A walk in the park

We were not the only ones walking in the park today...  We did not blend in as well as these deer, though.

Crisp Molasses Cookies

I made these yummy cookies today.  I have had this recipe since 1978 and it is one of my favorites, especially in the fall and winter.  These go great with coffee and tea.  Give them a try and let me know if you like them.

Crisp Molasses Cookies

Mix together:
       1 C. sugar
       1/2 C. shortening
       1/4 C. butter
       1/4 C. molasses

Add:
        1 egg

Mix together and add to creamed sugar:
        1 tsp. ginger
        1/2 tsp. ground clove
        1 tsp. cinnamon
        1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
        1 tsp. baking powder
        1/2 tsp. salt
        2 C. flour

Roll in small balls and flatten with a glass dipped in sugar.  Bake at 325 deg. about 11 minutes.  Do not undercook. Enjoy!

Doodling

Spent the day relaxing and doodling...I sometimes get carried away.  LOL!

Up early, dogs and I have had breakfast and now they are back to bed and I am off to work.  Oh to have the life of my dogs....

Jack Frost

I see I haven't posted anything for a year...yikes!  We haven't had much snow this year or cold which is fine by me.  This was a view out the door of our office building...jack frost was having a great time that morning.
